At last weeks MTV EXIT Creative Youth Forum, we caught up with Nitchote Tiwat, a Communications Planner from global Creative Advertising agency JWT. Nitchote volunteered his time and his professional skills to lead the Youth training on how to plan an effective campaign.

Working with 10 Youth participants from across Thailand, Nitchote led them through the concept of defining target audience, how to tailor messages to them effectively and overcome potential barriers that will prevent them from taking the action your campaign promotes.

Having worked at JWT for 2 years on clients including Ford and Oriental Princess Society this was the first time Nitchote had been involved in the issue of counter trafficking.

‘Before working on this project with MTV EXIT, I didn’t realise how big an issue Human Trafficking was. I also didn’t realise the business skills I use everyday for clients could be so valuable in tackling the issue and helping to increase prevention.

I think that there are a large number of people working in corporate jobs who sometimes wish to use their skills for good deeds. People should know there are great opportunities out there where they can apply their skills to help important social causes and go out and get themselves involved.
